Bear Awareness Gardiner
Living with wildlife on the border of Yellowstone National Park is both a privilege and a responsibility. We form strategic partnerships with agencies working in and near the park to help local residents and businesses prepare their spaces to prevent problematic interactions with bears and other native predators.
Goal
Help Save Our Bears
Our Bear Awareness program facilitates the distribution of bear-proof trash cans. All Gardiner residents are eligible to receive one 64-gallon bear-proof trash can for free for their residence. Businesses (including short-term rentals) are eligible to cost-share the can with Bear Awareness Gardiner for 50% of the cost of the can.
